PhD student Brian Budd wrote a commentary in The Conversation on how Ontario Premier Doug Ford intends to use the notwithstanding clause of Canada’s Constitution in his battle to shrink Toronto city council and reintroduce his controversial Better Local Government Act.

The commentary was picked up by Toronto.com.

In the Department of Political Science, Budd studies Indigenous politics, specifically the role of the news media in reconciliation in Canada.
