Join us as we discuss food prices and budgeting with Dr. Simon Somogyi.

Somogyi is the University of Guelph’s lead researcher on Canada’s Food Price Report and he’ll be providing insight into why food prices have been rising. He’ll also share ideas on what foods are most cost-effective. Based on Simon’s recommendations, Chef Megan Wright will be put to the test to prepare a meal. Register now to watch the event online on Thursday, November 17 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Deep Dish Dialogues is an online monthly event series that showcases chefs and food experts diving into impactful subjects. Each episode features new guests and a recipe connected to the topic. In the session, the audience has the chance to learn how to make new dishes while learning more about food, sustainability and our communities. This series is brought to you by the University of Guelph’s Arrell Food Institute and the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics.
