The Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) is a suite of libraries and programs used for mining and analyzing very large amounts of textual data using computational methods. This two-part workshop will introduce beginners interested in analyzing text to NLTK and common text analysis tasks.
Whether you’re a literature scholar or a bioinformatics major researching your literature review, NLTK can help you.
Please bring a laptop with your own use during the workshop. The laptop will need to have the following software installed:
Anaconda – Python 3.7 version
PyCharm – Community Edition
Please note: All software installation must be done before the workshop, please ensure that you followed any account creation or software installation instructions. Out of courtesy to the class, we will not be able to troubleshoot software set up during the class time. If you have any issues, please contact the IT Help Desk.
