Dr. Evan Fraser

Dr. Evan Fraser, the director of U of G’s Arrell Food Institute (AFI), spoke to CNN International’s DeCoded to discuss what would be needed to grow food on Mars, as outlined in his 2022 book Dinner on Mars: The Technologies That Will Feed the Red Planet and Transform Agriculture on Earth.

Along with his role at AFI, Fraser is professor in the Department of Geography, Environment & Geomatics, and helps to lead the Food from Thought initiative. He studies rural agricultural policy food security and how each is affected by climate change.
