U of G student Morgan Jackson appeared in a Feb. 26 National Geographic story examining the accuracy of eight popular animal emojis.

Jackson, an entomologist and PhD student in the School of Environmental Sciences, talked about the caterpillar emoji.

He studies taxonomy and systematics of flies and their diversity and natural history, and the role of history and museum collections in science education.
