[President Vaccarino speaking to the camera from his home office]
“Well, welcome, everyone. Today I’d like to give a special shout out to our students.

This of course has been an unprecedented period, one that we’re all going to remember for many, many years to come, and as we approach the end of term and the exam period, I’m thinking about you and I’ve just been so amazed and impressed by your ability to adapt to these new circumstances and situation.

In many ways, a lot of this is about learning to learn and what you’ve done during this period – your resilience, your patience, your creativity – as you’ve adapted to these new circumstances, has been just uplifting for the entire community. And for me it’s a point of pride as it is for the entire University.

So, on that note, I just want to say all the very, very best to you as you wind up this term and wishing you the most success as you prepare for exams.

And let me also take this opportunity to give a shout-out to our faculty who have also worked so hard, despite the conditions, for you to complete your term and your year.

So, all the very very best to you, take care. Stay well and stay healthy
