From May 6 to 10, U of G will celebrate our annual Be Well, Be Safe Week in recognition of National Mental Health Week and North American Occupational Safety and Health Week.

Be Well, Be Safe Week events

The Wellness@Work Programming Committee has organized a variety of events to help you enhance your well-being, connect with colleagues and support a mentally healthy workplace.

Here are just a few events you might be interested in:

Participate in a challenge during the week

  • Complete the CMHA’s “A Week of Compassion” and be entered to win one of five $25 hospitality gift cardsLearn more about how to participate!
  • Do you have what it takes to spot all the hazards in the photos? Identify three hazards within each of the three photos and also submit a “safety idea” relevant to the photos. Complete the PDF worksheet to be entered to win a prize!

Mental health services on campus

Looking for mental health counselling for yourself or your family? The Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology is an on-campus clinic providing therapy and psychological services for children, teens, adults, couples and families.

Maplewoods offers a competitive rate of $150 per therapy session so you can make the most of any benefits coverage you have. If your coverage runs out or you do not have coverage, you may be eligible for a sliding scale rate.
