The University’s strength is in its people, and the care and dedication they put everyday into their roles that make our institution one we can be proud of. Each year, U of G recognizes staff who go the extra mile with the President’s Awards for Exemplary Staff Service.
Award recipients receive $2,000 (less applicable taxes) and are typically announced at the President’s Community Breakfast in September. Teams share the cash prize.
Consider nominating a colleague or team for one of the following award categories:
- Award of Excellence in Wellness, Health and Safety (individual or team)
- Hidden Hero Award (individual)
- Innovation Leadership Recognition Award (individual or team)
- Service Excellence Recognition Award (individual)
The deadline for nominations is March 1. Staff at U of G main campus, Guelph-Humber, and Ridgetown Campus are eligible to be nominated.
Nominate a colleague by completing the nomination form and telling a story in 500 words or less about how they have made extraordinary contributions beyond what is normally expected in their job. Any U of G student, faculty, staff, retiree, or alumni can make a nomination.
All non-academic full- and part-time U of G staff who have been employed at the University for at least two years are eligible for the awards. Learn more online.
