The University of Guelph is commencing a search for its next Vice-President (Research) and is calling for nominations for faculty, staff and students to serve on the search committee.

In keeping with the Policy on University Appointments, the search process will be led by a committee chaired by the president, Dr. Charlotte Yates.

The search committee comprises a cross-section of University community members as follows:

  • President & Vice-Chancellor (Chair)
  • Three (3) faculty members (appointed by Senate)
  • One (1) undergraduate student (appointed by Senate)
  • One (1) graduate student (appointed by Senate)
  • Two (2) staff members (appointed by Senate)
  • One (1) external member of the Board of Governors (appointed by the Board)
  • One (1) Dean (appointed by the President)
  • One (1) Dean or Senior Academic or Research Leader (appointed by the President)

The deadline for submitting nominations to the University Secretariat is Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. (extended). The call for nominations and nomination form are available online.
