Dr. Nita Chhinzer, an organizational management professor in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, discussed with several CBC Radio stations across the country whether collective agreements can enshrine the right for employees to work from home.

She spoke to several stations, including St. John’s Morning.

Chhinzer said the majority of employers with employees who could work from home (WFH) now offer a hybrid of office work and WFH. Such agreements are typically informal and  individually negotiated based on the job, the relationships at work and other factors.

A professor in the Department of Management, Chhinzer researches strategic human resources management procedures and ethics.
