Dr. Shane Bateman

Dr. Shane Bateman, a professor in the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) and a clinician in the Emergency and Critical Care Service in OVC’s Health Sciences Centre, was a guest on CBC Radio’s Ontario Today for a call-in segment about decision-making in end-of-life care for pets.    

Bateman discussed the many ethical and financial considerations that go into such decision-making and answered questions from listeners. 

Bateman is a professor in the Department of Clinical Studies, teaches in OVC’s doctor of veterinary medicine and graduate programs and guided the development of the Kim and Stu Lang Community Healthcare Partnership Program (CHPP) as interim veterinary director.
