Dr. Carolyn Yule, a sociology professor in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, made headlines with her insights on calls to reform the Canadian bail system. 

A Canadian Press article that appeared in several publications including the Toronto Star featured Yule’s thoughts on the issue. 

Yule along with Laura MacDiarmid, a professor in the justice studies program at University of Guelph-Humber, also wrote for Conversation Canada on how reforming the system could affect the public and accused. Her commentary appeared in several publications including Yahoo News.

Yule researches parole, bail and life-course criminology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
