Dr. Julie M. Simmons, a political science professor in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, commented on the current relationship between the federal and provincial governments to The Globe and Mail.  

“[On the one hand …] the federal government is dictating to the provinces. [On the] other […] the federal government wants to bring provinces onside,” Simmons said.  

A professor in the Department of Political Science, Simmons researches Canadian politics, public policy and administration, with a focus on democracy and accountability in federal-provincial relations.
