Dr. Nita Chhinzer, an organizational management professor in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, discussed current workplace and employment issues with several media outlets.

On air with CBC Radio, Chhinzer examined a new federal sick-day law that comes into effect next month, and how to negotiate workplace sick day policies with employers.

With Global News, Chhinzer discussed the federal government’s new plan to boost immigration, saying: “the mismatch that’s happening is when immigrants come here, they’re traditionally underemployed and so we end up devaluing the same skills that we appreciated and considered.”

A professor in the Department of Management, Chhinzer researches strategic human resources management procedures and ethics.
