Agribusiness researcher Dr. Simon Somogyi commented on food inflation to The Globe and Mail and provided tips on how to save money while grocery shopping.
Somogyi said it’s hard to know when meat and grain prices will drop, but consumers can expect to see prices for produce lessen soon. In the meantime, consumers should continue to shop frugally, he added.
The Arrell Chair in the Business of Food and a professor in the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management, Somogyi researches agri-food value chain analysis and management.
