Pet nutrition researcher Dr. Adronie Verbrugghe, a professor in the Ontario Veterinary College, spoke to the Toronto Star about her latest research examining the role of choline in the prevention of feline obesity. 

Verbrugghe explained the connection between choline, spaying or neutering a cat and weight loss. She said she hopes the research will encourage “the pet food industry to change the diets that are currently available.” 

 A professor in the Department of Clinical Studies, Verbrugghe studies feline obesity, plant-based pet food and canine cancer.
