Food delivery services are coming up with new ways to remain appealing to those looking to purchase their groceries via an app. Food economist Dr. Mike von Massow spoke to The Canadian Press in an article that appeared in several publications about the sustainability behind those services’ business models.
Von Massow explained that customers may not always use the apps when buying groceries and that grocery stores may not get involved unless there’s a drastic shift in how people purchase their groceries.
A professor in the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics within the Ontario Agricultural College, von Massow researches retail and restaurant food demand, supply chain management, and value chain structure and performance.
