The following updates are provided by the Return to Campuses steering committee.

Reminder: Get fully vaccinated by Oct. 15

Even if you’re not coming to campus for work or face-to-face classes, you are expected to provide proof of vaccination to U of G’s Vaccination Proof and Exemption system.

U of G’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requires all those who access U of G campuses and University managed-facilities to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 15. You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving all required doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. If you haven’t yet done so, get your second dose as soon as you are able!

The COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is in effect until Sept. 7, 2022. Full vaccination will be required for those coming to our campuses and facilities in the winter semester.

Vaccination clinics are available on the Guelph campus at Student Health Services:

  • Sept. 28, 29
  • Oct. 5, 6, 13, 14, 20, 21

Call 519-824-4120, Ext. 52131, to book your shot!

Compliance with our vaccination policy

We’re seeing great vaccination rates among U of G students, faculty and staff. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.

For those who have not yet complied with the University’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, the University will take progressive action that may include, but isn’t limited to:

  • de-registering non-compliant students from courses with mandatory in-person components
  • placing faculty and staff who are required to work on-site on an unpaid leave.

Student Laptop Loan Service

Students: Do you need short- or long-term access to a computer to participate in your courses? Students can request a loaner laptop by emailing Courselink Support at courselink@uoguelph.ca. Availability is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. More information about the Laptop Loan Service program can be found online.

Proof of vaccination required to access restaurants and athletics facilities

In accordance with government regulations, individuals must now show photo ID and proof of vaccination to access U of G restaurants and athletic facilities.

Learn more about requirements to access U of G athletic facilities on the Fit and Rec website.

COVID-19 testing available on campus

Student Health Services offers on-campus appointments for COVID-19 testing to those who are symptomatic and to those who are asymptomatic but who have been exposed to a positive case. Book your appointment by calling 519-824-4120, Ext. 52131.

Faculty, staff and students who are partially vaccinated and awaiting their second dose and those with approved exemptions are required to participate in U of G’s rapid COVID-19 testing program.

The University’s COVID-19 website is your best source of information on U of G’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Return to Campuses website provides essential information for those coming to campus. If you need to be on campus, make sure you complete the U of G COVID-19 Screening Form every day before you arrive.
