Dr. Ryan Norris, a professor in the Department of Integrative Biology, spoke to CBC Toronto about plans for a new highway that would run north of Brampton and Vaughan.
Norris noted the highway would run along the Nashville Conservation Reserve, which encompasses a swath of the Humber River watershed.
Norris is an ecologist interested in the behaviour and conservation of migratory birds, insects and animals.
He is currently leading a project aimed at reintroducing the endangered mottled duskywing butterfly to the Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron.
