University of Guelph entrance wallThe finalized candidate brief for the University of Guelph’s ninth president and vice-chancellor is now available on the presidential search website. The brief reflects input from members of the University community who engaged with the Presidential Selection Committee through surveys and other means.

The committee will use the brief as a tool in considering and interviewing candidates. The document gives prospective candidates a snapshot of the University, an overview of the role of the president and vice-chancellor, and a summary of the key qualifications for the position.

The position has been advertised. The committee will confidentially review candidates over the summer and recommend a preferred candidate to the Board of Governors.

Under the University of Guelph Act, the Board is responsible for appointing the president.

The University’s ninth president and vice-chancellor is expected to be named in the fall.
