The most recent U of G Board of Governors meeting was held on April 21. Below are key highlights from the meeting. A full synopsis of the meeting is available on the University Secretariat’s website.

Budget Plan Approved

The budget is one of the University’s key strategy documents and articulates how it will allocate resources in support of its mission over the coming fiscal years. At its most recent meeting, the Board unanimously approved the 2021-22 budget plan.

Investment Subcommittee Membership Changes

The Board approved one appointment to the Investment Subcommittee:

  • Katharine Preston, Vice President (Sustainable Investing) at the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), was appointed to the Subcommittee effective May 1, 2021. This appointment fills a vacant seat.

The next regular Board of Governors meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Regular board meetings are open to the public. Guests wishing to view the meeting may request to do so by emailing univsec@uoguelph.ca.
