Dr. Glen Pyle, a professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, provided a commentary on the new AstraZeneca COVD-19 vaccine that was featured in the Toronto Star.

Pyle, who studies the molecular basis for cardiac diseases, discussed the widely reported concerns about the risk of blood clots from the vaccine.

Pyle is currently leading research into why patients treated for COVID-19 often show signs of cardiac injury — including those without previous heart disease.
