In collaboration with the University of Guelph’s School of Engineering, Guelph-based company EnvisionSQ has developed a unique germ-killing technology called GermStopSQ that is gaining international interest.
The Globe and Mail featured GermStopSQ in a story about the potential for exporting Canadian-developed, COVID-19-related personal protective equipment and sanitizing products.
Prof. Bill Van Heyst has led the U of G side of the research behind GermStopSQ, which is a nanotechnology-based, virus-killing spray for coating railings, handles and other high-touch surfaces.
The story talks about how opportunities are emerging for new products that Canadian companies are developing with universities.
