New Certificate in Indigenous Environmental Governance

Senate approved a new Certificate in Indigenous Environmental Governance which will be delivered online and focus on Indigenous perspectives on the environment and resource management. The certificate was designed with input from faculty from across the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, the College of Biological Sciences, and the Ontario Agricultural College, and in consultation with Knowledge Holders and Elders associated with the University, as well as the Indigenous Student Society. The certificate responds to institutional commitments to expand access to post-secondary education and improve the quality and scope of academic programs for First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

The next meeting of Senate will take place on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 4 p.m. via web conference.
