Lang school of business logoThe human resources program in U of G’s Department of Management has been recognized as one of the Top 5 best HR schools in Canada by Your Workplace magazine.

The July-August edition of the magazine notes that the human resources management program is offered with the Bachelor of Commerce program at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics

Nita Chhinzer, a professor of human resources, told the magazine that the program takes a “triple threat” approach because it is offered within the B Comm program giving students access to a variety of ways to develop their business acumen. Students complete all courses for the Certified Human Resources Professional designation as well as additional courses focused on career skills such as negotiations, decision-making and consulting, she said.

U of G student Dharamveer Dhaliwal was also interviewed in the magazine discussing how business students are managing the shift to online classes, with Dhaliwal saying the quality of content of his online courses has been equivalent to in-class lectures.
