Prof. Ryan Broll

With most kids in Canada headed back to school soon, the issue of bullying and cyberbullying are often issues for parents. The University of Guelph has an expert who can discuss.

Prof. Ryan Broll, from U of G’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology, specializes in the areas of bullying and cyberbullying. His recent research examined the ways adults and law enforcement prevent and respond to incidents of bullying. In his research on cyberbullying, he found a need for more education in schools on digital harassment and safe technology use.

Broll is available to discuss what parents can do to prevent bullying, cyberbullying and other internet dangers; what role teachers and schools can have in preventing and addressing bullying; and what questions parents need to be asking to keep their children safe.
