Have a drawer full of dried-out markers at home or in the office? U of G’s Gryphon Summer Camps will take them off your hands!

Gryphon Summer Camps are supporting the Crayola ColorCycle program by collecting used markers of any brand that will be repurposed instead of ending up in landfills. Collected markers are shipped to the Crayola Company where they are used to generate electricity or are converted into wax compounds for asphalt and roofing shingles.

The ColorCycle program has repurposed more than 70 tons of used markers in the United States and Canada since 2013.

Where to take your markers

Drop off your used markers, white board markers and highlighters of any brand at:

  • Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre (Mitchell Lobby)
  • Field House reception desk

Donations will be accepted until Aug. 30.
