The Board of Governors has endorsed and approved the reappointment of Malcolm Campbell to a second five-year term as vice-president (research) at the University of Guelph. The announcement was made today by president Franco Vaccarino.
The decision follows an extensive review and subsequent recommendation put forward by a committee of faculty, staff, students and B of G members, led by Vaccarino, with final approval from the University’s Board of Governors.
The review committee and U of G members noted Campbell’s dedication, research vision and connections with government and private sector research partners, including the successful renewal of the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance (the University’s partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs) and his leadership in the University’s Canada First Research Excellence Fund success. As well, Campbell was recognized for his efforts in successfully elevating U of G’s overall research successes and operation.
In making this announcement, Vaccarino thanked members of the review committee for their work and the University community for its input.
