U of G food laureate Anita Stewart was featured in a Forbes article on June 3 talking about how she founded Food Day Canada.
Stewart, a culinary activist, educator and writer, talked about how she came up with the idea of Food Day Canada and why it’s important to promote and celebrate Canadian food, agriculture and culinary arts.
She also shared personal anecdotes, from how she first became interested in food and cooking to some of her favourite Canadian dishes, chefs and foods.
As food laureate, Stewart promotes the University’s culinary contributions to Canada and helps to strengthen connections between food producers and consumers.
