Prof. Keith WarrinerProf. Keith Warriner appeared in a CBC News story on May 19 talking about recent E. coli outbreaks stemming from romaine lettuce and difficulties in tracing where the tainted product originated from.

A professor in the Department of Food Science, Warriner said that for every reported case of E. coli, more go unreported. He also said that two separate E. coli outbreaks in the past few months could be linked and talked about the possible reasons why.

Warriner studies E.coli, fresh produce and food safety.
