Prof. Timothy Dewhirst was interviewed by the Globe and Mail for an April 16 story about a GoFundMe campaign dedicated to the Humboldt Broncos.

A professor in U of G’s Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies, Dewhirst discussed funding campaigns prompted by tragedy and said that many people want to show their support by purchasing commemorative items. He talked about how problems arise with the sale of unauthorized merchandise, and suggested that consumers research charitable products before purchasing them.
