Prof. Doug Goff will receive the 2018 Excellence in Undergraduate Academic Advising Medallion.
Known for his academic expertise in ice cream, Goff is a long-standing professor and faculty adviser in the Department of Food Science in the Ontario Agricultural College.
He was selected for the award by U of G’s Council on Undergraduate Academic Advising. His nomination praised him as an invaluable source of knowledge; food science students called him caring and approachable.
The annual award recognizes faculty advisers, program counsellors and academic advising administrators who have made an outstanding contribution to undergraduate academic advising at the University of Guelph.
Goff will receive the medallion later this year at a public university event.
