Prof. Scott Weese appeared in a CTV News story on March 6 about a canine influenza outbreak in Ontario.

Weese, an infectious disease specialist in the Ontario Veterinary College, has been assisting in the investigation and response to H3N2 canine influenza, and says there are probably more than 100 cases in central Ontario. He said the outbreak follows two smaller clusters of cases in southwestern Ontario, which were linked to imported rescue dogs from Asia.

Weese, a professor in the Department of Pathobiology, researches antimicrobial resistance, bacterial infections in animals and humans, and emerging infectious diseases and infection control in animals.
