University of Guelph-Humber professors Nikki Martyn and Elena Merenda published an article on bullying in The Conversation on Feb. 25. The article was picked up by the National Post on Feb. 26.

Martyn and Merenda, who lead the early childhood studies program at the University of Guelph-Humber, wrote about the importance of creating inclusive homes and classrooms as a key aspect of bullying prevention.

Martyn’s research focuses on children with special needs, education and children’s mental health. Merenda studies education and care of children with special needs, and effects of losing a parent on childhood development.
