The University of Guelph and the University of Guelph-Humber will take part in the Ontario Universities’ Fair (OUF) Sept. 22 to 24 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The free event, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, attracted more than 135,000 prospective students and their families last year.

The OUF is U of G’s largest off-campus recruitment event of the year.

Prospective students and their families may visit displays, attend presentations, collect handbooks and meet representatives from all 21 Ontario universities.

“You can learn a great deal about a university online, but meeting in person is extremely beneficial to learning about what a university has to offer and if a school is the right fit for you,” says Angi Roberts, information services manager for U of G’s admission department.

Staff, faculty and students from U of G and Guelph-Humber will be available to answer questions and share their expertise and knowledge with prospective students.

Fair visitors are primarily senior high school students and their families, as well as teachers and guidance counsellors from the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

Fair organizers recommend registering for a digital “OUF Passport.” The passport provides essential contact details for universities that students or parents wish to learn more about.

The OUF will take place in the South Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
