Political science professor Leah Levac recently discussed an increase in the number of neighbourhood associations with TVO.
Levac said the growing number of such groups reflects a broader trend toward citizen engagement. She said effective neighbourhood associations need governments that are prepared to listen to them. She studies public engagement, citizen participation and local government.
