A memorial fund honouring the memory of alumna Grace Glofcheskie, who died a year ago, was featured on CTV News Dec. 13. Appearing during the segment was Lisa Hood, associate director with Alumni Affairs and Development, which worked with the Glofcheskie family to create the endowed scholarship. Also interviewed was fourth-year biomedical sciences student Heather Petrick, recently announced as the scholarship’s inaugural recipient. Glofcheskie competed for five seasons with the varsity golf team and served part-time as an assistant coach of the women’s team. More than 400 people have donated to the annual scholarship, which will recognize students excelling in sports and academics.
