Ryan NorrisProf. Ryan Norris, Integrative Biology, was part of a live on-air discussion Nov. 21 on the popular CBC Radio program Ontario Today on the gray jay being named Canada’s national bird by the Canadian Geographic Society. He was also interviewed by the Toronto Star Nov. 17 for a front-page article and featured on Yahoo! NewsNorris, who has studied the gray jay extensively, says it’s a good pick for Canada’s avian symbol because the birds are friendly, tough and extremely intelligent. Read more
