Prof. Matthew Hayday, History, was interviewed on TVO’s The Agenda Sept. 13 on the social and political history of French immersion schooling in English-speaking Canada. Hayday spoke about controversies surrounding immersion and current trends in education. Author of the book So They Want Us to Learn French: Promoting and Opposing Bilingualism in English-speaking Canada, he studies bilingual education policies and language rights.
