Prof. Graham Taylor, Engineering, was featured in a full-page ad that ran in the Globe and Mail Sept. 23. The ad featured 18 Canadians who are the inaugural group of early-career researchers in the Canadian Institute for Applied Research (CIFAR) Azrieli Global Scholars program.

The prestigious two-year appointment provides each scholar with $100,000 in research support as well as specialized leadership development programs.

Taylor is one of two new scholars appointed to CIFAR’s international Learning in Machines and Brains program.

He leads the Machine Learning Research Group at U of G and studies machine learning and high-performance computing. He has international research collaborators and is involved in multimillion-dollar projects backed by federal agencies.
