lampU of G researchers: Ready for your close-up?

A public outreach initiative that explores how Ontario university research affects everyday life is inviting university researchers to “take over” its Instagram account for a day and share their work with Ontarians.

Research Matters, an initiative of the Council of Ontario Universities, uses a website and blog, social media and public events to share ideas and innovations from the province’s universities.

For this “Takeover Tuesdays” campaign, Research Matters seeks undergraduate, graduate, post-doc and faculty researchers from all fields — including arts, music, sciences, business, engineering, agriculture — to share five photos showing a day in the life of a researcher.

Photos could include your workspace, your lunch, an artifact, an experiment, your work outfit, a selfie with colleagues, the U of G campus or anything else you think will showcase your research day.

To begin your takeover, email yourontarioresearch@cou.on.ca and tell them you’re ready for your close-up.
