Steffi-HamannSteffi Hamann, a PhD candidate in political science and international development, has won a top student prize from the Canadian Association for the Study of International Development.
Hamann was announced as the winner of the 2016 Kari Polanyi Levitt prize at the annual Congress gathering, taking place this year in Calgary. The prize is awarded annually to the best original essay by a graduate student in international development studies.
Hamann’s paper on food security and palm oil in Cameroon will be considered for publication in the Canadian Journal of Development Studies, and she will receive $1,000.
