Jay-SubramanianProf. Jay Subramanian, Plant Agriculture, was interviewed by CBC News June 23 and Motherboard June 20. The stories look at a nano-scale, all-natural formula he and a team of researchers at U of G have developed that extends the shelf life of fruits such as mangoes, blueberries, and bananas. It could have large implications in the battle against food waste and help farmers. Subramanian works at the Vineland Research Station; his research focuses on tree fruit breeding and biotechnology.
