Prof. Mike Dixon, School of Environmental Sciences, was featured in a CBC News story May 9, and was profiled in the Toronto Star May 6. Dixon, director of the school’s Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility, is working to make it easier to grow fruits and vegetables in Canada’s northern regions. His team also studies use of controlled environments for growing food on space missions.
