OVC_TNOT_WoodsThe Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) appeared this week on CBC’s The Nature of Things in an episode on specialized treatment for companion animals.

More than half of Canadian households own a pet; Canadians own almost six million dogs and eight million cats.

Called Vets, Pets and Debts, the episode looks at the lengths people will go to ensure their pets live a long and healthy life.

The episode examined some of the research and treatment options available at OVC, including a study on feline breast cancer and the implications of the treatment for people.
