The University’s flags will be lowered to half-mast Friday to mark the Saturday funeral service for U of G graduate and community member Grace Glofcheskie, who died Dec. 13 following a tragic hit-and-run accident in downtown Guelph.

Glofcheskie recently completed her master’s degree in human health and nutritional sciences. She received a BSc in human kinetics in 2013.

She was a member of the Gryphons golf team during her time at U of G, playing for five seasons. She was currently working as a part-time assistant coach helping student athletes. A tribute has been posted by the Department of Athletics. There have also been numerous media reports about the accident.

Visitations will be held on Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. and  7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 9 to 11:15 a.m., at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John St. North, Arnprior.

A funeral mass will be held at noon on Saturday at the St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, Arnprior.

The family has created a memorial fund through U of G’s Alumni Affairs and Development.
