The University of Guelph will welcome nearly 5,000 new students into campus residences this fall.

Some students will move in Friday, Sept. 4; expect minor traffic disruptions that day.

Official move-in day and Orientation Week kickoff is Saturday, Sept. 5. Gordon Street between Stone Road and College Avenue will be accessible only to students between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Only new students will have access to McGilvray Road, South and East Ring roads and Dundas Lane, as well as parking lots P31, P13, P17, P18 and P19.

Student Housing Services (SHS) asks that other motorists not use parking lots adjacent to South Residences (P13 and P14), Lennox/Addington (P23 and P24) and East Residence (P16) on both Friday and Saturday. Access to South Ring Road adjacent to One Stone Rd. (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs building) will also be restricted to move-in traffic.

Road closures and detours will be clearly marked.

Students have been assigned a scheduled move-in appointment time, route and holding location for residence unloading zones.

Volunteers will help students with move-in.

For more information, visit the SHS website at housing.uoguelph.ca.

For questions or concerns about road closures, call Campus Community Police at 519-824-4120, Ext. 52245.
