Research Communications and Marketing staff received two awards Oct. 5 at the Canadian Farm Writer’s Federation annual conference in Agassiz, British Columbia. The 2012-2013 Agri-Food Yearbook, highlighting the OMAFRA-U of G partnership, received a silver award in the category for general periodicals. Produced under the direction of Owen Roberts, director of research communications, the yearbook received a $300 prize sponsored by AdFarm.

A video report on internal parasites affecting sheep won bronze in general news reporting.  The video was produced by SPARK writers Joey Sabljic, Laura Falzon and Matt McIntosh and earned a $100 prize sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Ontario.
