Calling someone at U of G just got easier, thanks to the new voice-activated telephone directory. The next time you pick up the phone, just dial “0” and say the name of the faculty, staff or department you’re trying to reach. The new speech-enabled auto attendant (SEAA) has been available on campus since May 3 and launched externally May 31.

“CCS aims to provide technology solutions that empower the U of G community to access information when they need it,” says Gayleen Gray, acting associate director, IT Strategy and Partnerships. “SEAA does just that by helping callers reach the people and departments they need quickly and efficiently 24 hrs a day.”
