Environmental biology professor Madhur Anand is one of 50 scientists from around the world invited to attend the International Academies of Sciences (IAP) Young Scientists Conference Sept. 12 to 17 in Dalian, China.

The conference is held in conjunction with the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions.

Anand, who holds the Canada Research Chair in Global Ecological Change, was nominated to attend the conference by the Royal Society of Canada, which is a member of IAP. She will participate on a panel that will discuss resource scarcity and in numerous other activities during the conference.
